The Practical Result

After you opt out, targeted advertising ceases but advertising may not. The site itself is unchanged — no content is locked, no feature is removed, and no reader is disadvantaged for having exercised the right.

What may occur is that, where advertising appears on this site, advertising partners receive cookie and device identifiers tied to your browser — conduct potentially covered by the statutory terms ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’. Turning This Off

You can opt out by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which this site honours automatically without any message from you; by declining advertising cookies in the consent banner where it appears; or by emailing hello@barriercalm.com under the subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. None of these routes requires you to register.
